Ann Doyon is a nêhiyaw iskwew from Regina, Saskatchewan. An accomplished multi-media artist with a career that has spanned decades garnering national and international attention for thier powerful design and intense performing style design and artwork is in various private and public collections across Turtle Island
My mother was Beatrice Keewatin (Peepeekisis First Nation) and my father was Melvin (Butch) Hanson of Kelvington, Saskatchewan. They raised me in an unconventional manner that has led to my own original style in music, art and design.
I create through the belief that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style and medium. When I design I use all the tools in the box to colour outside the lines.
I firmly believe that art can change the world and shape the views of the people who see it performed, spoken or felt. By sharing the deepest parts of ourselves through art we can learn about each others realities and expand the appreciation of the short time we have in this world.
